i sawpped a 3.0 out of an auto 4runner into my 5speed 4runner. its all bolt in but for some reason  the bottom passenger side 2 bolts of the tranny dont line up. everything else does and is mostly plug and play.  i had to swap the harness and injectors on mine since mine was an early 88 and the engine came out of a late 89 so the plugs were different aswell as the plugs ont he injectors.  be sure to check that.

only herd part is cutting a hole for the master cylender fopr the clutch, other than that, its all bolt in, and if u are keeping all the stock wiring, u need to bypass the nuetral bypass switch.  i did a swap on an 85 and couldnt figure out the wiring for the switch, so i ran a wire from the ignition to the starter and totally bypassed the switch.
