but could high pinions get in the way?  That is made by   4x4 Labs   right out of Auburn (by me   ).  I have heard people say it could put too much pressure on the pass. side studs.  Welderboy from the Pirates ran that setup for awhile on his Dana 60.  He kept shearing off his studs.

well it "looked like a winner"   maybe he needed better quality studs  :nerv:

but dang $500  :smack:

Marlin highsteer worked great for me!

a guy in my club is running it.
pan clearence is really tight, only a couple inches between pan and tie rod.

I have been running 4x4 LAbs set up for about 5mos now and think that it works great. The pan clearence is a little tight, but I haven't had any problems with it at full compression as of yet (8in of compression). I paid $450 with a tax ID # and can honestly say that it is stout. I went with the GM 1 ton rod ends, and am very happy with my steering set up. The only problem you will incounter is if you run the high pinion 3rd member. Also make sure you get the correct rise in your steering arms to clear your springs, as my first set were to low and the drag link hit the springs at full extension/comperession. This was solved with a phone call and a I had the new arms within a week.

Im running this set-up too.Ive got 44044s,longer shackels,& a 2 inch dropbox, took it out last weekend & noticed the tie-rod is rubbing on the oil pan, just a little bit.Thats with no shocks on the front( diddn't have time to put them on ). so I will either add bump stops,or a 2-wheel drive oil pan.And yes 4x4 Labs is in Grass Valley, and the owner Luke is a really nice guy, always willing to help.As for shearing the studs if they are not tight yes they will break,I check them before I leave and at least once on the trail, yes they will lossen up on you.anyway its a great kit,BEEF!

totally agree, Luke is a really nice guy, and his parts are BEEF
