YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Details damnit, details!!! :gap:

Ok, currently the Quick Lube is taking a dump. Due to the fact that my brother refused to start a decent advertising campaign and is fast running out of $. His plans are to not give anyone a discount and just expect them to still come. So we currently do about 3-4 carwashes a day and the same amount of oil changes. It is sad that myself and my wife (unpaid) struggled to keep things going when he disappeared over the summer. We managed through discounting and creative add-ons that ended with the customer receiving a good deal and us still getting full pop for an oil change but discounting lets say a tire rotation for cheap. So I turn an oil change into an oil change and tire rotation for $40.00. Currently it would have been 33.75 for the oil change and $20.00 for the tire rotation, I figure that to be a fair deal but he wants to charge full pop. Granted once we were established and have built a relationship and trust with the community discounting would not have been as necessary. There are other things that I did not want my personal reputation ruined over so after a really hard process of trying to make him understand that if we didn't take the steps to establish ourselves that they would and have gone away. I can't say that I didn't try though, I did everything I could with what I had to keep it going but due to his personal issues that he's got back into the company is doomed to fail.

I on the other hand will and already have started to develop, a couple in AZ. which once has already started to exceed my expectations, and one up north towards some brainlessfool  that I just submitted and not heard back from. I am also going to start hitting the pavement here and do something until these other opportunities pan out. All three could be very exciting but will be very consuming of my time. I don't want to jinx anything so until I know for sure so  :disturbed:

No it is lack of promotion, you can't expect to just roll up the doors and the trove of vehicles to line up.

moving to Arkansas ???
Um, no but you never know, the one company I've got the best lead on does have 2 locations in ARK. Right now they are looking very good for me and again not to jinx it for myself I don't want to say much, but I could end up in a lot of places. Until I went to their Phoenix facility yesterday I never realized they were as large as they are.

That sucks. The shop I work at has dropped about 50% since mid nov.  Already had to lay off one tech and another may be one the way out. We don't advertise one bit but never really need to. We've been in buisiness for 56 years, Have over 1000 regular customers, and probly the best reputation in town, but it seems as if noone needs thier car serviced. The parts dept. of the store is doing ok. We have our regulars that only buy from us. Maybe it'l pick up after the first of the year.

Yeah I know, but we haven't been in business for even a year. Gotta get the word out that the place was back, wasn't a Jiffylube and the carwash that had been closed for over 3 years was up and running. This area is very word of mouth and that location didn't have the best rep.

Sorry to hear things are rocky right now. Hope it all works out well. I was looking forward to coming down and visiting Next Oct when I have my annual convention (didn't go this year).

Good luck! Hope these other Irons work out if this one fizzles.
