intermittent wipers

i swapped in a tilt column in 80 toy and the combination switch has intermittent wipers on it, how do i get these to work? do ineed a new motor, or a new relay any help would be great

I have intermittent but really it is just another slower setting, not like you can adjust the speed. No idea how to get them to work, gotta be some relay or something?
