87 4Runner; new engine
« on: Dec 09, 2008, 02:11:58 PM »
1987 4Runner; 22RE; 5-speed
rebuilt engine-new pistons, rings, block bored, ground crankshaft, head completely rebuilt
new alt., starter, battery, belts, coolant hoses, water pump, oil pump, coil, wires, distributor cap, plugs, pilot bearing
EGR deleted

Dark gray metallic
Shampooed seats
new carpet in the passenger area
BFG A/Ts; about 40%

It has one rust hole in driver's side rocker panel, easily repairable. Otherwise, it's a solid truck. I bought it to fix and drive but have since made other plans.

Currently not running- I think it needs a computer b/c it isn't getting the right signals at the injectors. It will crank up and run but only runs for a few seconds then floods out. It doesn't need much to be running and driving at all. I've just run out of steam for this one.

$1400 I have receipts for all parts and engine work. The engine work was done by a reputable local engine builder. Located in Tupelo, MS.
