Really, talk about reviving a dead thread. Ha, ha since 2006 I left LA and the police garage, went to work in management at Jack In The Box, left there and went to The Home Depot, left there and helped my brother open a Quick Lube and Car Wash, left there and am currently a bum, but I am waiting to hear back from The Home Depot about going back. Well actually I am back but waiting to hear when.

My Step dad was a Roller coaster mechanic for years.     I was the Only kid on the Block with a bunch of Steelies from roller coasters for toys.   :hahaha:

I think we live near each other, so I think you can figure where I work.  If your pops was a mecahnic there, I probably know of him.

Yup, he worked there since it opened.  just retired a couple years ago.  He taught me so much about mechanics and power tools and such.  I am forever grateful for that.

I used to work in a big tire and lube shop, got to work on alot of 38"-49" off-road tires and big rig tires. I´m currently unemployed but I work a couple of weekends a month as a bouncer and sell Toyota parts on the side.

I start studying for my trucking license in 9 days, that will take about 3 weeks and then I start a course so I can get a license to work on earthmovers, big tractors, cranes and other heavy duty equipment.
