Scrap 79'
« on: Dec 01, 2008, 12:52:04 PM »
This is my 79' that I got and started building about 3 months ago. I'll call it "lil scrap" cause almost nothing worked and I've been fixing/building it with mostly whatever scrap parts I have around. Mostly from my 81 that I totaled awhile ago and a 2wd I got for like $50. I been through the whole brake system. Repaired a bunch of lights. All new trunion bearings and seals on front axle. Remove all the emissions junk that had been all hacked up and didnt work anyways.

Upgrades:
w56 transmission
IFS rear end
Detriot rear with 4.88
Tru-trac front with 4.88
33in X-treme M/T's
Weber 32/36
3in bodylift

Future upgrades:
Removed bodylift/ install suspension lift
Header
2.25 in exhaust
Make a set of half doors for summer
Builld 20/22r hybrid
on board air
Bobbed bed

The day I brought it home.

Whats left of my 81'

First time out. Up close to Idaho Falls. I'll get some better pics next time.

I completely lost my slave cylinder The first time I took it wheelin'. Nothin like coming down a mountain without a clutch!! :driving:

Maybe like 15 inches. Haven't put too much thought into it yet. Still trying to get all the bugs worked out. But I need to leave enough to haul my quad around.
