Well I love my 7mm rem magnum, But its a bolt action. Hence why I have a ar-15. So Id vote for a ar-10. Its a ar-15 chambered for the 300 ultra win mag short action. Anti person rifle meets the elk slayer
Dr.Maxwe001 – well i have a 15 gal compressor now and if I gett he 60  and then use the 15 as a reserve that wil give me 75 gal  thats close to 80 isnt it ?

I go with the 7MM, cause it will kill anything I want to kill with ONE SHOT.

Well, the thread is for those who were smart enough to foresee an ammo shortage when it looked like a dem might be elected.  I'm not including myself in that bunch cause I'm not too bright  :_oops:

I thought the ar10 was chambered in .308?

if you can still find ammo for that price, let me know.  i can't find any right now.

Have you checked aimsurplus.com?  You have to keep on top of them, but they have some really good ammo deals usually.

BAR would be a good choice, but my 7mm is a tikka and the action is as smooth as a prom queens thighs

I gotta go with the M1918 B.A.R. too.  Nothing like shooting .30-06 on full auto.

It was made almost 100 years ago and still a fine firearm.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

No problem, just checked and they have some for $80 or 90, and what they say is the best for like $100, I think it's czech 70s run.

Does a shotgun with a rifled barrel count?     :gap:

Normally I'd think yes, but this isn't to see which gun you'd keep, but is to see which rifle you value most

Call me impractical...
Alexander Arms Beowulf .50
Looks like an AR-15/M4 but so totally isn't. Puts holes through railroad timbers at 200 yards, guess what it does to squirrels at 15 yards?
 :yikes:  :haha:   :yikes:

But for hunting/survival I'd get a 30-06 or 7mm Winchester and good scope.

OK, I don't think people are getting it.  I don't mean which gun would you buy.  If the man came to your house and said you need to relinquish all but one rifle, which gun THAT YOU CURRENTLY OWN would you keep?

how about the :pokinit: has hit the fan and you have no house, you are with rig or worse, on foot. ONE rifle that you currently own, to defend, hunt and provide food for yourself and whoever is in your group.

gonna keep it simple and go with on of my Win. 94's   30-30
