I was driven around doing just fine with my newly built motor and brand new clutch from Marlin and I go to a stop sign...idle for a sec and then...metal grinding...and I wanst going nowhere.  2 of he bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank backed out, and the other 4 snapped off :help: :help: :help:

I had to drill out the bolt and use an easy out.  Talk to marlin and the crew, he gave me a new flywheel and replaced the clutch....

heres a six pack for marlin

Donkeykong, I am still not sure how this all happened.

I think we installed the flywheel, but I also remember writing down torque specs on the gasket box.

If we left the flywheel lose, and the clutch assm was installed on the loose flywheel, it would of made noise right away.

It appears to me that four of the flywheel bolts were over torqued and then sheared off and two were under torqued that came loose?

I do not put locktight on the flywheel to crankshaft bolts.

Bottom line is that we stood behind the product and thanks again to the customer for the kind words. :beerchug:
