Rubicon Trail Foundation-Dennis Mayer A true friend and comrade, I will miss you

After a great weekend at the Rubicon Trail Foundation (RTF) Volunteer Leader and Land Stewardship class, our good friend and RTF Treasurer, Dennis Mayer, took a hard fall. Dennis hit his head while falling and after a short time it became evident it was more serious. In true Dennis fashion he downplayed any significance. The injury would have taken most anyone regardless of health.

Dennis passed Tuesday, November 18th about 2AM. I am at a loss for words right now. I salute you my friend. You left some awful big shoes to fill.

Please keep your thoughts and prayers with Dennis and his family.

:down:  That's truly a bummer!  Just goes to show you how quickly a little mistake or slip up can end a precious life.  I hope the family is well taken care of, but please post up if there's going to be any kind of fun raiser or family support set up.
