I love 99% of the products that interco puts out.  The 1% of their products that are complete garbage is, you guessed it thorntirds.  I love how they look, they are a killer tire to look at.  But that is the only place that they perform decent, looks.  They have no traction in the mub, the centers just clog whole the outside lugs do all the work.  They are almost usable in the sand, they suck in the snow.  The only thing that wears faster on the street is a 44" bogger on a hot day.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

No,No,No,No,No!!!!!!!!!!

That is all :smack:

Well the only reason i like them is cause they look awsome but good thing i asked. I'll just go with TSL cause they work great right now and they are insanly durable. i pulled 6 nails out of them and no problem yet.

Go with IROC's.  They are cheaper and are great off road.

Prismo

The Thornbirds are downright scary in the rain.

Interco announces the Thornbirds as A/T's so theres all the info you need.

Ditto, ran thornchickens for awhile......THEY SUCKED!!!!! All over the road, no flex in the tread unless you groove the crap out of them, and piss poor straight line pulling.

WHITE_TRASH

Yes but usually A/T means they will perform good in all terrains.  Thornbirds flat out suck in all terrains so what gives? :dunno:

This is why I LIKED them

So how to the Thornbirds stand up against the BFG A/T's?

Well if they suck compared to the BFG A/T's....then they down right suck...cause I had A/T's...and they dint do good in trials and slight mud  :headshake:

SWAMPER

All joking aside  My enforcers do a lot better than my old A/T's I noticed the difference quickly...especially aired down to 13 psi

Ya, i've never been a fan of the BFG's either, but i've run with guys that ran them, and I ran the TB's and the BFG's were a little better all around. But the TB's came in bigger sizes, so they would work better in some cases. TB's were horable on the street, sucked for breaking trail in the snow, and were too stiff through the center on the rocks. It wasn't until we grooved the hell out of them that they started working decent.

SWAMPER

Do you have a pic of the TB's once you sipped them?

My 37" Wrangler MTR's are the best tires I've had so far.  They're a little soft for the pavement though...

Just went into my black hole of old pics and couldn't find a single one running those things.
The biggest diff came from cutting two to three grooves cross ways in the big center lugs.
We also cut grooves cross ways in all of the other big lugs. Those big center lugs just seemed to keep the tire from being able to wrap around things, and gave a whole bunch more forward pulling edges.
