I'll have to agree with every one in here.Thornbirds may look kinda cool, but they kinda suck.I know a couple of cats that have ran those and been disapointed. We play in the thick mud quite a bit(acorausa.com),so I'm wearing  39.5 inch boggers and I love them. They work great for me in the mud,the rocks, the desert and the sand.

I have heard boggers slide sideways abit.

I've heard that a lot too.I've been wearing them for two years now and I've never had a problem, that's why some people groove them though. If you're going to do all those mods that you listed,I would go with the 37 BFG Krawlers. One of my wheelin' buddies bought a set about two months ago,and he's prety happy with them .

I also have a friend who's been running the 37" BFG's and loves them. We'll see how they hold up in the snow soon.

Yup,they're up there in price :twocents:.I use to work at 4 wheel parts. How about 37 MTRs.those are real nice tires too.I wouldn't recomend them for the thick mud though. They tend to fill up real quick, and become slicks, but other wise great tires.what type of terrain do you usually run on?

Whats wrong with the SX's (wanna know because I may be getting them)

the sx's are a great tire.
i run the regular tsl, wish i had the extra side lugs the sx has.
bias are tougher than the radials but dont ride as well.
dont gett ssr's either if you offroad hard. weak sidewalls. i ripped 2 37 ssr sidewalls in 3 trips.

not to mention SSRS are HEAVY!!!

the SX is about as bulletproof of a tire as you can get, very hard to tear one of those.  the only thing i've heard that's bad about them is that they have a much thicker sidewall so it's not as easy to make them flex, and they supposedly have a tighter tread pattern than a regular TSL so they're not quite as good in the mud without grooving them, but are still much better than any non interco tire

i have a friend who swears by thornbirds, though i think he has a few screws loose :hammer: but he DOES groove them pretty good.  i'd rather spend my money on a set of TSLs, just given my experience with the bias LTBs i have on my truck right now, my next set will be another in a slightly larger size(thinking the 34x10.5s, only about $130 each!)

Yeah the SX's are expensive...230  :rivers:

I love my SX's in the mud they throw it every where you don't even have to power your way through the mud they do all the work.
