I broke the Passenger side spring on Dusy/ Thompson Hill 2 weeks ago. Can I weld it good enough to get me thru 1 more trip . In 2 weeks I plan on doing Barrett Lake in NorCal after that trip I plan on redoing my front susp. w/ Marlins springs which will require moving axle etc. I dont want to pay local guy $100.00 to fix this for 1 trip if I can weld it and Trust it . Please has anyone done this kind of fix. please notice location of break . These are 4" Lift Pro Comps.

Just replace that leaf with 2 from a stock pack for the run.  You can weld spring steel but it will lose its temper and bend, then it will snap back off again.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Post up any questions on the way, we will try to help. This is the best way to learn. Why pay someone else to do something you can do.

It's real easy...Just remove the nut from the center bolt, then pull the center bolt out of the spring pack, remove the broken leaf, and then replace it with the two stock ones.Your center bolt should be long enough, you might have to use a clamp to hold them in place while you tighten it.If not just use a longer bolt.

I got lucky a friend broke a 4" lift spring about 5 years ago and replaced them both, then threw the old ones on the side of the house. I put the good one on today and it is a great match so far. Thanks for the help it was actually pretty easy. The project that scares me is the new springs & moving the axle forward and doing the high steer. I will have plenty of time though.
