Are toyota truck and 4 runner driveshafts the same? Mounting bolts and lengths?

I might be able to pick up a front and rear driveshaft for a good price. I'm thinking of doing a SAS on an 86-89 runner (with the Marlin kit) and adding a crawler box (also Marlin) - can I use the truck driveshafts?

Thanks.

With the crawler box you will have to get you front lengthened and the rear shortened.  As far as I know there is no direct bolt in for your rig.  The pickup shafts have the same ends so they will interchange but the shaft lengths wont work.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

79-83 have a different style bolt pattern then the 84 and newer.  I tried to use a regular cab regular bed rear driveline for my driveline when i went dual cases.( i have an extra cab)  And i still had to have it extended about 4 inches.  Got rid of my dual driveline setup.

The 84s pickups and 85 4 runners are the same and the other way around or both.  Mine swapped back and fourth until I went to a dual case and had to legthen/shorten.

perfect - thanks for all the information. Exactly what I thought. I figured that I would have to take the driveshafts to a shop to change the lengths and balance them (also making the front a long slip.)

thanks - again.
