NIAGARA RIM this weekend

we are heading to niagara this weekend  . If anybody want to joint us we will be in 2 blue 4 runners and a white jeep wrangler . we are heading out early saturday and don't know where to camp saturday night  . we are also doing SLICK ROCK  sunday

If there is any snow they usually close the gate at the highway. If you call the forest service and ask

x2 call the ranger station and see if its open   and dont forget yer campfire permit

the ranger said the upper gate is close . but the lower gate is open . if not we  might just join JUD at the rubicon

*edit:  talked to them again .. they are keeping the trails open till the end of month

we started saturday at Niagara Rim

a couple guys turn around because of the snow on Heartbreak hill  so we are the first to go down






both of us almost roll at this ledge on lion butt

we also ran into a group from turlock  so we all go to the rock plie to have lunch

then we head back and camp
i was the first one up  sunday morning

on sunday we ran slick rock  from utica lake side  .right before we went down the 2nd gen runner notice clunking noise from his front axle

popped new new one in and we're off

thanks for the warning  . i packed my tent heater  which great in a kid tent  i had to buy a new boots cause  i didn't pack extra
