have someone fix it? nice. the check engine light wont come until it wont start, i have a 2007 modis snap on scanner and it shows no codes except a wheel sensor code that doesnt even make the check engine light come on.

so when the CEL is on, what code does it throw? Once the light comes on, there will be a code.

I don't think that anything you changed could have caused it to flood out. I haven't done much with the 2.7, so I don't know what triggers the ECU to fire the injectors.  I know that they changed things a few times over the life of the engine as well.  Could be a crank or cam sensor, or the distributor itself.

Do you have a noid light? You need to see how often your injectors are firing at a given RPM, or how long they are staying open. Possible bad ECU IMO. :twocents:

well the truck wont actually throw the code, it just comes on when it finally wont start. i changed all that stuff cause it didnt look like it was firing too hot and i had access to the parts. the dis is brand new. a friend came over today and we messed with it somemore, you could smell gas, so i thought it was flooded, so i cranked til it hit, it fired about 2 times and then without me touching the pedal it smelled like gas again, i took the intake tube off, cleaned the plugs, the tube, the maf sensor, with elect cleaner, and it did the exact same thing?

you need to verify that it is getting spark when it won't fire. Were the plugs wet when you pulled them?

This is the friend that helped work on it.

The spark plugs are wet when pulled.
They are also getting fire. They could possibly be fouled out now, but it will foul out new ones. :maddest:

OK. Then it goes back to seeing when the injectors are opening, and how long they are staying open.

Another thought: fuel pressure. You have a way to test it and make sure the regulator is doing its' job?
