I went wheeling over the weekend and when i got back home i just took a look under my runner and noticed a huge shinny gash in my gas tank. i think i need to go and buy a fuel cell. :rivers:

WT you have to wheel it in order to bash it. All yours would take is a good roll to dent it  My 17 gallon tank is 15 gallons now.

The bumpstops make first contact 2" before the springs would hit the tank.

Having the gas tank there makes it harder for rocks to hit it. Yeah and my stupid drive line. :maddest:

I'm debating on a 2 inch body lift and raising the tank 2 inches or relocating to the rear. I been doing some measuing and a K5 Blazer tank would fit if the cross member the spare hangs on was moved. 31 gallons would rock. It looks like the stock gass fill could still be retained just routed back.  I understand the K5 sneder will make the gage work backwards so full is now empty But IT WORKS.

Best thing is you can pick up a surpluss NEW K5 tank for $25 at www.colemans.com Junk yard a sender and your set. If its a RE then Junk yard a FI sender and put the yota pump in place of the GM pump.

Mike D

Yeah i might move mine where my spare tire goes but i might have to replace the tank because of the deep gash in it.

I have the 20 gal summit fuel cell, jus pull the foam, cut a hole in the top and drop the yota pickup assembly right in, put the foam back in and run some fuel line and your in buisness.
