Will a hi performance cam in a 1986 22r work in a 1986 22re?

yup, anything from a 20R/22R/22RE/22RTE will work

22R and 22RE had slightly different cam specs from the factory, they'll interchange fine though

well this is related to the topic. will adding a performance cam on a high mile engine take away its reliebility? my motor has 168000 and i wanted an rv cam or maybe a little more

if your not going realy big it sould be fine, just remember to change out the rocker arms too
