Where are you at? I'm down by San Bernardino and I know how you feel, all of my wheeling buddies are out in Ventura county and I know no one out here to go with. Drop me an email or pm and we'll go hit Big Bear or something. Once Infernal gets his junk together we should all get together and do a run somehwhere. Dennis

I'm up near victorville, in the Oak Hills area at the top of Cajon Summit and I work in Ontario. My Jeep pal that I usually go with is in Riverside- When it's not too hot there is some awesome desert rock wheeling in Calico, and just all over in the desert. I went to Big Bear a couple of weeks ago and did Holcomb Creek, but didnt have enough time to do John Bull trail....I hear they are closing much of the Big Bear Trails for fear of fire danger- I have to say when I went it was hot and very dry. Everything in Arrowhead is closed now I know for sure, but I've always wanted to check out Anza Borrego/Truckhaven, and that indian reservation zone down near Temecula... I forget the name of that area, but I've seen pics of it on the pirate BB, looks good. Also we've got Johnson Valley, so lets get something going  :beerchug:

Johnson Valley is awesome, been there once, but didn't get a chance to run the hammers :rivers:.Truckheaven is awesome,I've been there quite a few times,we do TDS every year. There's a couple of other local spots too,San Jacinto, wich I've never been to,or heard to much about,Los Coyotes, wich is where I think you're talking about, and a few others. What's your Jeep buddie's name?.I use to work at 4 wheel parts in Riverside.

Los Coyotes Indian Reservation or LCIR is the place you're thinking of down in San Diego co., plenty of good wheeling down there, I've been there lots. So far the only trail shut down in Big Bear is dishpan springs but that's because of the fire from last year. I'm going to the IE4W forest fest in a couple of weekends, going by myself so if anyone else wants to go I'll be there.

Hey Infernal Jeep,
I'm on the border of Hollywood and Hancock Park. Cool area, lots of weird party people because of all the clubs and bars etc. near my house.
Where do you guys usually go wheeling?

best regards,
Fred

I was thinking about LCIR but the guys I was going to go with are to mellow, do the same trails every time. If anyone is up for it I'd go to Big Bear instead. I have to work saturday though.

i'm in O'side. LCIR was one of my favorite spots, but they closed it to 4wd. Sept 4-5 was the last weekend.Never conquered Bobsled! Haven't heard anything different.
Big bear is fun, John Bull is the best.2 1/2 hrs. away for me. Parts of other trails are OK. There is still lots of exploring to do. Arrowhead (deep creek) was supposedly closed due to the fires. After rain, who knows? I'm always up for a day of wheelin'. No trailer, driving the crawler there and back.Anybody got a favorite spot we can all try?
