I just happened across what from my limited research appears to be 1982 Toyota Trailblazer converted by Griffith. I see that only 400 were made in 82 and only about 41 (now 42) are still in existence. The vehicle was built in Dec of 81 and converted in Mar 0f 82.  The shell is missing both the round markings and the trailblazer markings fog lights on the top and the rear spoiler. It had been sitting in a barn for about 5-8 years.  Some rust over wheel wells and behind fender wells on the inside.  Haven't started the motor yet, turns over and needs carb adjustment, but has juice to lights.  Not sure what this vehicle is worth and am looking for some help.  Not sure if I will start to restore or sell at this point, I will post pictures this week.  Dash looks great(other than the dust), needs carpet, but has all the interior rear fiberglass speaker bars and side panels.

Would be willing to sell or possible trade for 84-85 4-runner, or even 86-87.

They actually go for about the same as a similar condition pickup.  I paid $1400 for an 81 Trekker in way better condition than that, and $1650 for an 82 Trailblazer also in non rusty, good running condition.  People like to oooh and aaaah over them, but in the end nobody gives an extra buck for them.

I'm glad you got such great deals, but if you've watched ebay for any lenth of time you've undoubtedly seen them go for substantially more than comparable trucks.  The only first gen I've seen go for more than one of these is one that had a 2LTE swapped in that capped off at a touch over $10,000.

Wow, nope hadn't seen those apparently.  I think the op is trying to get an idea of what price to ask/expect.  I gave him my experience.  From what you have seen on ebay, and the condition of this rig, what do you think it is worth?

Yes the back is open, they just cut the back of the cab out from the roof to the top of the bed, welded a brace and finished the edges for the shell fit. I have a pic that I will load and send. It is in much nicer shape than the pics show.  I should have cleaned it first, but put it in the garage too soon.  I will get it out and take some fresh pics within a couple of weeks.  I'm not trying to make a fortune, just need an idea of what to expect.  I had never heard of nor seen one till I found this one by accident.  I have seen everything from the same as a the truck model to much higher.  Again will post new pics soon and get battery to run motor for condition.
