This is serious, no smart ass comments.  Look at the pics, really look at them and simply tell me what you see.  That is all.  Duffil isn't allowed to play  :slap:

EDIT:  I posted these pics on another board and some people are telling me I'm not seeing what I know I am.  The purpose of asking you guys what you see is so you can offer your opinion with absolutely no bias.  Hope that helps!

Remember, you'll see more detail by opening it in another tab/window so it comes up as the full size pic.  And if you look at the pic and instantly think you see it, you don't.  You'll need to look a little closer and look at the detail...

i used to commute 75 miles one way on that back and forth to liv from sac  my next will be a rr1000

kneedownnate

How'd you like them diablos?  Cycle Gear will have them on sale for $180 a SET october 25th  :yikes:  I just don't know if they'll be soft enough or warm up quick enough for me.

Also, if you didn't know before, we have nearly the same bike, save for mine being a few years older than yours and having the cooler tail section  :gap:

not to totally sleeper this thread out, but there is an 87-90 CBR1000F1 in Oakdale for sale for $500. Clean ass factory graphic bike.I haven't stopped to talk to the guy so I don't know anything else.

kneedownnate

Honestly, I think 1000 is too much for the street, though I'd love to flog one on the track!  All I've ever ridden on the track is my old slow f2 and the f4i.  Pretty much rode about the same, just kinda like taking a sorta sharp knife and honing it.  I actually think a v-twin would better suit my riding style.

Buy it!  I think he rides a superchicken now, but for a long time it seemed like roundboy on barf was a total hurricane sleeper  :haha:  First track day I went to watch my friend ride there was a guy with a super clean hurricane 600, rode the damn thing to the gills all day and it never missed a beat.  I talked with him a little bit and he said he only used it for track days anymore and never had any issues.

not to condone riding fast and unsafe but when mine did over 100 mph in 4th that is too fast for me.  I would not mind another f4i I weighted 250 lbs  and let me tell yeah each gear was hard to keep the front down.  I want one of these

ill get another one, one day

Duffil

:pokinit: dude I hit 95 in 4th on my 87 600 following some squids one day.( I say that because straight line speeds were 100+, but I passed them in the corners)

i had a buddy that rode for buel and when i saw his leathers and his bike after he went down I did not want to ride on the track no more.

kneedownnate

Then you wouldn't want to see what my bike looked like when I low-sided at around 90   It flipped end over end for about 40 yards.  Yup, I rebuilt it  :gap:  And it's straight!  My leathers weren't too pretty either, but they're still usable.

I've never really fallen in for that "my bike goes X mph in Y gear" stuff  :dunno:  I've only had it up to about 135 on the track and 145 on the street once.  I made the mistake of sitting up a little at 145 and the wind caught the collar on my leathers and tugged back pretty hard.  Kinda caught me by surprise!

Honestly, I've ridden a 600rr and it felt like ass to me!  The way I have my bike setup, forks are dropped a bit, it falls right into corners, but I've never fought so hard to get a bike to steer as I did with that rr.

Odd, only time I've ever had issue with my front end lofting was at the drags or coming over turn 9 at thunderhill

:pokinit: son, there's no safer place to ride at a fast pace!  I used to ride like an ass on the street (hence the aforementioned low-side) but lurnt my lesson the hard way.  Hitting your head on a metal reflector post at that speed and never gaining a recollection of that day will do that to you!  It was a bit spooky when my brother and I went back the next day to check out the crash site, were able to tell where I first laid it down, where the footpeg drug along the pavement then through the gravel, where my shoulder slid through the gravel till the mangled reflector post ( :ack: ), where the bike first flopped then where it tumbled all the way to where it stopped, and STILL having absolutely no recollection of the day  :shudder:

Ok, everybody stop looking at the damn elephant!!  It's very simple:  LOOK AT THE TIRE RUBBER AND TELL ME WHAT YOU SEE!  This isn't a trick question.  I don't think I can give any bigger hints than that  :dunno:

been on gravel road?

Nope.  Well, yes, but that only accounts for the dirtiness and has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

Seriously, it's very very simple and not a trick of any kind!  If at least one of you guys don't see it soon I'm going to let duffil pipe up since I'm pretty sure he saw it on another site  :nonono:
