The landcruiser uses the same style gear.
Check the metal drive gear, is it damaged from a loose steel ball in the rear housing?
The V6 chain driven case uses a much larger speedometer gear that will not work in a gear driven t-case.
How did you put a V6 chain driven gear in a 4 cyl gear driven case? It will not fit
