fuel tank on 93 4runner

I have a 93 4runner.  My fuel tank hangs down below the frame.  What solutions have y'all come up with for not scraping the tank off on the rocks??

I don't have the link anymore, and it doesn't prevent scraping of the fuel tank... but you can take the skid plate off and weld some flat bar or angle iron to the topside of the fuel tank skid plate to beef it up so when you do scrape it, it doesn't dent and come up into the tank itself.

Thanks for the idea.  That will be an easy fix for now.  Have you heard of anyone cutting the tank down?
