3.0 TD HiLux

Hi there,
I´m writing from Peru.
I have a 2004 Toyota HiLux 3.0 TD 116 HP & 250 lbs of Torque at 1,800 rpm , with a R151F gear box & VF1A transfer case.

Welcome. What type is that engine? 1kz te? or something else? I`m looking for a 1kz te but they are awful expensive. The d4d type is supposed to deliver 165 hp.

Hi, the 1KZ TD is a 3.0 liters Turbo Diesel without intercooler,it has 116 HP & 32 Kgm of Torque at 2000 rpm, wich is about 250 Lft of Torque. This is the basic of the 1KZ series.
The D4D is a 16 V version that has 164 HP.
This is a fine engine and very reliable, it is used in the HiLux, Prado and some Toyota trucks.

gathering parts for my goal which is
350 Chevy 700r4 auto to 2.28 x 4.70  and 4.88 9,5" cruisers diffs,diamondaxles and cable lockers, 44" richard cepecs

Welcome, I have seen pictures of some of the trails in Peru. Some look pretty tough.
