What's the plug for????
« on: Sep 05, 2008, 01:07:06 AM »
86 SR5 XtraCab.

On the plastic panel under the steering wheel, next to the parking brake there's a round fill plug.

What goes there?

 :dunno:

Just curious

porbably something you don't have
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Nothing but a hole in the panel is behind the plug (it's not an electrical plug, but one of those plastic, fill the hole type plugs)

The diesel choke cable handle. If it was a diesel.

Why would a diesel need a choke?

Diesels do not have chokes !!!!! If it is what I think it is for the hand throttle on the diesels.

Diesels either have glow plugs or heat grids to aid in starting when cold.

I know what plug you speak of but I only know that the plug goes there, never seen anything there except when someone uses it for a switch or alarm LED.
