Well a long awaited next victim "drum roll please"



beautiful red snapper the latest ride a 86 4 runnah. 





It has a little rust and but guess what the rear tail gate electric window actually works it has 136,000 miles on it.
The interior is cherry the carpet looks great in it.
Stock for a little while....

Just admiring it..




It's been two years since I was offroadin I feel like crying like I have been stranded on a desert isle...

Ok enough with the emotions....

well picked up 4ea 35x12.50 BFG MT's mounted on AR chrome 15x10 rims for $180

you are guna need a lift on that 4runner for those. i barely tucked worn 35s on my 87.
i dont run that setup anymore.

3in lift minimum to get those to tuck and not lose anything.

Funny I stopped at this gas station between stowe and waterbury and my old rides my 93 4 runner and my old 85 4 runner were both there. they were bashed to hell my 93 runner was sas'ed and the 85 they rolled and cut the back 1/2 of the runner off it.
Anyways weird 2 of my old trucks at the same gas station what are the chances of that?

However that's 35's on 15x10's with 4" BS on a stock 86 4 runner with no lift and sagging rear springs....

May be wit alittle trimin dae would fit

Nice just a small amount of trimming and the 35" will fit just fine  . If you could really keep it that low it would be cool.

Lol well the g/f rules on this one for now.
She wants the old tires back on it so she can drive it.
So until I take care of a BL and a rear spring lift they are staying off it.

35's are a very close fit.... lol

After some hammering and sawzall work they fit. Don't worry 2" body-lift is on order.

I actually took it out on a class 4 road the other day that's why it 's muddy it did ok.
It rubbed a lot though.
I am probably gonna get some junk yard diff's probably some 4.56's to make up for some lost power since i can't find any 4.88's.

Well went out wheeling last night. Only breakage was the tire.



The tire had a log wedge between the bead and the inner lip of the rim.
I pulled most of it out and aired up.
It made it home was a little low when we parked it but now it's flat this morning.
I'll probably have a bunch of crap in there I'll have to pop the bead.

My g/f is hooked she drove last night and loves wheeling now. We went out with my buddy John too we had a blast.

Came back muddy and tired lol.

That's probably due to the body lift.

Decided to go topless today since it was a nice day.





Decided what the hell got some Krylon flat black and painted the top.
It came out pretty nice. It took about 3 cans but the results were beautiful.

The top bed rails were perfect no rust....





Supposed to get snow this week so put the top back on buttoned it down again.

Next I think I am going to be doing suspension work. I need to get rid of those tall shackles and get some real springs under there.
