SAS with a small block
« on: Aug 27, 2008, 07:35:07 PM »
I getting ready to do a SAS to my 92 pickup but I'm going to be putting in a Ford 5.0 afterwards. What springs should I go with for the extra weight?

how high do you want the truck to sit? get 2" taller springs than you want, and you should be fine...... realize that a SAS will also net you an additional 2" over the height the truck was originally.....

Currently I have a 3" BL with 4.5-5" IFS suspension lift running 36's with the 22RE. I would like to run 37's with the SAS. So how ever much lift that would take.

I run a 5" MC kit and a 350 SBC.  I run 36" Iroks.  I also run a 3" body lift due to the tranny (you might need to do the same) I need to trim my cab mounts since my shackles hit them.

Maybe run the 5" in front and the 4" in back to help it sit more level.
