well i might as well start this cuz i can't seem to get this 79 i've been trying to get sooo i bought my 1991 Toyota pickup DLX about 3 years ago for 5bills cuz it had new tires and a TOASTED motor. chain skipped and yep you guessed it #3 valve came down and smacked the piston BIG TIME were talking shot out the side not ONCE but TWICE!!! exhaust side a BIG 3-4" hole and 2" on the intake. soo after we got it home we started looking tires yeah almost new BUT it had a freshly rebuilt trans T-case V6 front diff replaced 4cyl rear diff new muffler and tail pipe (with NO carbon build up AT ALL) soo i got a new motor for another 5bills it came with the intake exhaust clutch and AC pump butt i dont got AC. it also had a NEW clutch and flywheel. it took 2 slow years to get the motor rebuilt and put in i know i was slow but i was checking over every single bolt twice and cleaned and painted every thing. about 8 months ago i found a great deal 200 bucks for a set of 16" by 7" 2002 Toyota 4runner 6 spoke style wheels lug nuts center caps and worn out tires. i was like ok lets go see, and they were in great shape so i went ahead and got them and started driving them and 4 months ago i bought some tires nothin special BFG Rugged Trail T/A's 265/75R16 and they've been great so far. so thats it for now mainly cuz my fingers are tired

ok real fast update i've been needing a bumper so i had my uncle help me build a bumper from the 2x3" C channel and and the tacoma mounts i had it almost done getting painted pics tomorrow

why not put this in the projects section josh? it seems all project truck realted...

sounds like fun anyways...i like that bumper to/simple shudl be beef.

ok so its been a while so heres whats new . . . . . NOTHING!!!!! I've been driving it and yeah but i'm thinking im gonna do some exhaust soon (i hope) but here is a shot of my truck after i went muddin yesterday was taken this morning after it had rained and dried

dam that is the dirtiest ive ever seen that truck, i waived at u the other day on north ave, i was driving the dodge with the stak pouring out the black smoke

oh and im almost positive im gonna be able to get a 79 pickup short bed so heres my plain to get it ready for MCR next year Chevy 63" springs out back $50 a set of wagoner 4" rancho lift front springs $50 f250 front shock hoops $50 new spring mounts U bolt flip and 6" shackles $240 front shackles $75 4 1.5" wheel spacers $180 all gusseting for front axle $180 37x12.50R15 $1000 (i get a deal on them) 15x10" steel wheels $280 rock sliders $150 aussie locker (front) $250 spool (rear) $190grand total for the first year $2695 so not bad for one year

yeah well i don't want to buy tires again plus i couldnt afford much more. turns out tires for a 16" wheels are kinda pricey

long time no ubdate. I spun the rod bearing 7000miles on the rebuild and 6months later and its back up and been playing around with shocks and things like that so heres some poser shots

not yet i got the stinger on but i kept lookin and decited it looks like

so i cut it off an im going to redo it might fill the pipe with sand and weld up the ends to get it all lookin good
