I saw that you have a whole bunch of stuff for sale, since you got rearended shouldn't an insurance company be paying for the fix?

The insurance is paying for 70% of the truck value.  They said that if they paid more than that they would have to total it out and I would have to get a salvaged title, highway patrol inspection, ect. to get lic on it again...  And they said that that it was my responsibility to check my rearview mirror to make sure some jackass was not going to try to pass me when I turn off...  :bull crap:

It didn't actually bend the hitch part, it on both sides where it attaches to the frame.  The hitch is made by Uhaul and rated for 5,000lbs, or 6,000lbs with a weigh distributing trailer tounge.  I don't know what class that is, but it sure saved my truck's rearend from being smashed alot worse!

After looking at the uhaul web site   it's a class 3  rated for 7,500     same one I have.  I think I paid 170-150$? . THey had it siting on the shelf for a long time  and there where happy to sell it.   I installd it my self  with grade8+ bolts from works bolt bin.
