RK's beast.
« on: Aug 07, 2008, 10:29:02 AM »
So Id thought Id start one, since Im gettin a bit more serious in my mods.

Got the rear regeared so far,

did the main work myself. but had to go to a buddy to get the backlash right. now it sits just bout perfect.

the front was a pita to get out. is still being regeared. My buddy is havving issues gettin the backlash right with the yukon master kit supplied shims. but, gettin close.

then i moved on to the doors, since i was waiting for the front diff.

installed the 4xinnovations quick release hinges.

next is gonna the the front bumper. as pictured above, can see whats left of the stock. Not much. thing is about to fall off. Im thinking of going with the 4xinnovations. I like the set-up minus the stinger.

But inbetween then and now, Im going to get some seats in there. Get rid of those stock ones. Gonna get these in there. Hopefully somewhat soon. http://www.mastercraftseats.com/sportsman.php

Then probably inbetween seats, gonna try and modify my ignition to push-button, relocate some switches also.

Well. Seats went out the window. But, im fully regeared. 4wd works like a champ, and two new rear tires. So, next is two new front tires, and a front bumper. Which is needed very badly. Then Ill look at the tcase. See about regearing that or something.

Now to get the rig higher before taking that rear crossmember off. using solid 2" thick pavers was brought up. might go that route.
