'86 4Runner $500 in Fresno

1st Generation Toyota 4Runner. 22RE (EFI) 4-cyl 2.4L engine, and 5-spd manual transmission. $500 cash, firm. Blown engine and pretty beaten up, but would make a great crawler.

This truck was tipped into a snow bank and broken into so the exterior and interior have seen better days. 119k original miles, transmission is tight, brakes are great, alignment is perfect. It currently has LCE ceramic headers and a Marlin rear bumper. I have a magnaflow stainless muffler for this truck I can throw in there too (it's here in SF), and an extra aisin front hub (one on there is scraped pretty badly). CA Smogged and registered in April.

The engine is blown. The electronic timing advance went bad, and like an idiot I advanced the timing to regain the lost power. A friend borrowed it for use in Fresno (I'm in SF), drove it after it developed a knock, and now has a bent rod in at least one cylinder. So he will have to show the vehicle for me. I'll see if I can have him get some pics up.

At this stage (interior, exterior and engine all pretty beat) it's a crawler or a parts truck, but some great parts at that. The header, exhaust and bumper alone are worth the asking price. Cash only. My friend is doing me a favor by selling it for me, so please don't try to low-ball him or waste his time as it's not his truck to negotiate. It runs badly and is registered, so can probably be driven slowly from it's current location (USDA lot) to somewhere else in Fresno. Otherwise show up prepared to tow it away.

Thanks for all the interest. Sale is pending right now, but not a done deal. To answer the above questions... I'm not interested in parting it out. I'm not located in Fresno, so it's selling at a discount to save me the hassle of trying to figure out how to get it to the bay area. I just want it purchased in full so I don't have to worry about it.

Yes, it has aftermarket rear belts. Also, it has no spare tire or stereo (it does have clarion rear speakers though), which are the only two items of value that I can think of that are missing.
