speedometer wont turn
« on: Jun 26, 2008, 07:37:43 AM »
I didnt know if it was the cable or something else so i pulled the cable out and inspected it the cable is good   so then I ran it back in and manualy put it in the back of the cluster I then knew it had to be some where on the lower half of the truck so I began to remove the speedometer gear and found that  it has a low spot on the gear that will not connect with gear that is in the tranfer case. so now my only question is do you wana see the speedo gear with a low spot on the gear  :dunno:  ??? I thought you would  so I snaped some shots of it.

why get something used that you might have to replace again in 2 or 3 months or one that DONT FIT  when you can get one from the dealer that is new and will prolly last a tidbit longer ???

xactly.  high-wear bits like this are always good to replace with new stuff.  The original lasted 15-20 years - so you'll never have to fix the replacement again.
