I really need to build my square front drive shaft.  i had the right wheel compressed about 4 inches off of the ground just to get the slip back in.  when it sits lever its popped out.  would 1/4 inch wall do it? or should i got 3/8s?

WHITE_TRASH

1/4" will do it just fine.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Jared

So ryan, what did you think of the booty fab?

Jared

If you ever grenade a j-arm always keep whats left of it.  You could use the broken piece to beef up another j-arm.  I think we should start a cheap tricks thread and make it a sticky.....

I got to bobbing the bed and i cut the beds all crooked.   :smack:  So i just over lapped the parts that were overlapping and crooked and i used a jigsaw to straiten the lines and it all hooked up just right.  Now welding it.  Im having trouble with the settings.  I cant find a good setting were i could penetrate the metal but not burn through it.  Its is a lincoln sp-135 mig and im fluxing that bad boy cause i have no stargon.  The settings for the wirespeed are 1-9 and the amperage setting is around a-L  what is the best setting?  anybody   Ill try to get pictures.

well i finished bobbing the bed.  took me 3 days.  i cut it and messed it all up.   :smack:  I originally intended to cut out 7 inches out of it but i had to cut some crooked parts out and it turned out i cut 11 inches out.

well i was lookin through pirate bb and ive been debating on some flatbeds to build.  I like chris geigers flatbed and i also like another flatbed i saw.  Ive been planning on tieing the rear hoop in to an interior cage.  I also scored some 35s for 100 bucks.

Jared

I like the simplicity of Gieger's old flatbed.  I'm planning on putting mounting a 20lb co2 tank inside a dugout part of the flatbed.  somethign like what that toolbox is in.

Jared

a little update on the design of the flatbed

IIRC, Geiger had a power tank to the right of the tool box in that pic. I kind of made my flatbed like Geiger's but I tied it into my exo hoop that went around the cab. It has since been lightened. :flamer:

well on the rear of the toyota frame you know how there is that BIG A$$ freakin crossmember that is just so oblong and wierd and it just takes up to much space.  Well i plan on cutting it out and welding a piece of 1/4 inch 2x4 striaght across and i plan on putting the powertank their and like just have like flip up top thats made out of diamond plate.  To keep it out of the weather and to keep it from people seeing it.  a bunch of rice burners go to my school and if they see it theyll think its a nos bottle or something.  I should stay away from Big Mikes school.  he might thinks its a nos bottle.... :nonono:   :beerchug:  just

I'd pay to have this done, I really like it.. Add a rear hoop that goes all the way to the back of my flatbed so I can add rear seats and I am set.
