no one has touched this in a while so i thought might as well post a pic of the drawing for my bumper I'm gonna make. If my plans work right i should be using just under 15feet of tubing for the main design, I'm hoping to use either 1-1/2" or 1-3/4 for the main, mounts, and stinger. mine is going to run without a winch because this is my Daley driver and doesn't need all the fancy doo dadds. the main tube, at the farthest point will be about 6" from the core support so about 4" out from the grill i could be wrong. but here it is

The bumper on lilbuddies old truck is one of my all time favorites.  simple.

My Build 1986 4runner SAS 36s etc

"Later, I learned that even though I engage 4WD my hubs are not automatically locking? Something about manual locking hubs I think. What's manual mean? I need to read a manual to lock them? lol  So I found these neat autolocking hubs and installed them. Sometimes they dont stay locked while I am backing up, but that's fine because I dont have a backup camera to see where Im going (like our RV) so I just simply dont ever back up"- BigMike

I've always liked the design of this one:

I really like the dimple die work on that bumper, but I think to make everyone happy, it would need to have a winch mount too.

I really like the dimple die work on that bumper, but I think to make everyone happy, it would need to have a winch mount too.

It has a winch cradle built into the bar and suits a Warn 9.5xp... I just need to get a slimline numberplate to expose where the ally fairlead goes

This design looks solid, I like the skid plate action!
22RE .30 over, mild cam, K&N, LCE header, 2.25'' pipe, high flow cat, Magnaflow.
 Marlin 1200LB clutch

 no substitute for 4wheel drive.

Cheers for the comments but I cant take the cred for it... Brooksy from Custom4x4Fabrications here in Aus designed and fabricated it.

The bar is really solid, it just feels like an extension to the chassis

So is Marlin gonna be makin a new bumper for sure or just rumors? I really like the way the lower tubes are bent "in-word" on that '96...

I'll be ordering the rear for my 2nd gen runner in the next couple months but if he's bringin a new one out I wanna wait...
