What's new with Shamb's family, I'm a Daddy!!!

   Awesomeness all around Shamb!  Congrats on everything, and definitely keep us posted on all of your progress!

So a few updates,

August 5th we will be finding out the sex of our baby and doing an AFP test to make sure he/she is healthy.

Also we signed paperwork today for our house and expect to have the keys either Tuesday (tomorrow) or Wednesday.

I'll post pictures of our progress with the home, we plan on painting before we move in.

right on congrats on getting your house.   it has been non stop since we got out keys.  our house has vaulted ceilings so the painting in there sucked

yea I think we've got 9ft ceilings, should be fun... I'm not a big fan of painting so i'll be excited when that's all said and done.

bought a BBQ, lawn mower and a few other misc things we'll need.

Getting the keys TOMORROW!!   

I'm going to be getting on that lawn ASAP so the sprinklers can actually get to ALL the grass.

Wife will be packing and i'll be hauling stuff on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hope to have it painted by this weekend as well... but we'll see how time permit's.

got the key's tonight and the lawn is in bad shape since it hasn't been mowed in awhile.. gonna have to deal with dead spots of grass.. there's garbage all over the lawn for some reason.

tomorrow the fun begin's!  I work as usual but my wife will be over there along with my mother in law getting some paint on the walls and packing ect ect ect!!

Got alot done today, mowed the front and back JUNGLE which now looks like a lawn. Pulled all the weeds in the front and back, went to Lowes and got some misc stuff we needed.

Taped off everything that needs to be painted, entire house basically... and primered the living room.

I hope to have the living room, office and laundry room painted.

Was gonna upload photo's but my wife left the camera at the house. I'll try and get some pic's uploaded tomorrow.

Funny you say that. We did the same thing after we moved in (5 years ago) and about 3 1/2 hours and 2 shopping carts later we finally got outa there.     We still laugh about that day cause when we went in it was daylight and it was nearly dark when we left. 


Glad to hear you're enjoying your new place. Now you just have to wait for your other new arrival.    Bet you can't wait!

Office, laundry room, kitchen and hallway got painted today.

ARRGH my back hurts!   we painted for around 7 hours.. maybe a little more.. today.

I got the front yard in shape and we went through around 6 gallons of paint.

Tomorrow we plan on tackling the living room, spare bath and master bed/bath.

Spare Bath, Living room and master bedroom got paint today.

Also had to redo the kitchen.

Tomorrow's plan of attack includes redoing one wall in the kitchen, touch up in the hall way, spare bath... and another coat in the master bed.

Also gonna get the master bath finished   

It's so far along i'll just post up all the pic's at once.

we have bought 28 gallons of paint so far for our house.

This is around 16 gallons total for the entire interior of the home.

Snowshoebrue all I can say is GOOD LUCK! and I hope you have help.

Color Key... lol..

Red = Living room
Two different colors or Orange = Kitchen
Hallway = Coffee Creamer / Light Brown
Office = Grey
Laundry Room = Dark Blue
Babies room = White still awaiting to see if its a boy or girl 
Spare Bath = Chocolate Brown
Master Bedroom = Kermit! hah.. Green
Master Bath = Light Yellow

We'll (I'll)  be drawling a large leafless tree in the ligher shade of Orange on the wall that has the darker color in the kitchen.
Laundry room will be getting some beige flowers
Master Bath is getting some sort of pokadots???!  I guess.. that's my wife's thing.. I dunno..

So it's not finished but close!

I go to work for the next 3 days and then plan on moving our stuff over and finishing some more of the painting.
Our washer/dryer and Fridge showed up today.

Sunday I'm hoping to get a large majority of the moving finished so we can do some decorating for the spare bath, master bath and a few other misc things.

quick update, got everything moved over on Sunday with the help of family and friends... stayed up until 11 the next two nights getting everything situated.

Only snag was our kitchen table didn't make the trip, thought it was strapped.... it wasn't.. went flying into a million pieces getting off the freeway so we bought a new kitchen set that will match the kitchen colors better anyways..

i'll get some pic's up once I get the chance. still dont have my internet conn. working yet.. surfin on the company laptop for now.

this monday we go in for a check up and also to set up the appt for our ultra sound!!!  gonna find out if its a boy or a girl.. i'll post the results when i get 'em!

Dude Shamb, I'm diggin the blue, gray and red!!!! It looks so sharp! And the light wood with the dark colors is a great contrast! Lookin GREAT!

Today was the day!

Ultrasound went well, seemed like we were there for hours.

The baby was in odd positions the entire time so it was really hard to tell if it was a boy or a girl but we got to see all kinds of AWESOME EXCITING movement and features!!!!  I was just completely blown away by it all.

The lady who did the sonogram said she was about 80% sure that it's a girl because we got the baby to move in a position were the toes were nearly touching the head and she wen't back and forth for a good 30 minutes trying to get a good shot down there but didn't come up with much.

Either way I am happy with a healthy baby!  When we go in for our next doctor visit i'm sure she'll give us a bunch of info on size ect.

Did our second 3d/4d ultrasound yesterday and finally got some decent picture's of the baby!

Her facial features are very similar to mine when I was a baby. Nose, chub cheeks ect.

So this has consumed the last two weekends, almost done!

The white that seperates the two different shades of green is going to be covered with charrel? (I think that's what its called)  similar to baseboard's with a fancy design.

Thus far we've painted, yesterday I painted the bookshelf off to the left and put the crib and changing table together. Today i'll probably start installing the shutters and ceiling fan.
