just wasnt sure because the case in the top pic has the rails coming out. forward shift?.

the one with the rails is forward shift, you can use that one as the crawl box and bolt the top shift behind it. or go to pick a part and get the shift rails from a topshift to convert your forward shift. and both would be topshift :beerchug:

The above info is correct as long as you are going to be running a forward shift trans. G52/54-R151F-W56C/D. or, like he said, you will need an extra set of top shift rails.

Ya, the rear case has to be a top shift.  like they said, the front can be either one depending on the transmission.

Im going to be running th350 with a AA adapter, so i should be alright with the forward shift as the front case.

one more thing! In order to use the AA adapter I have to remove this clip. Will that be ok? it seems like its just a "backup" bearing retainer.

with an adapter from the trans, you will probably need another top shift, or just the shift rails.  the forward shift t-case works with the toyota transmission, i doubt the adapter will allow you to use the forwardshift case.  the bearing retainer should be used but i dont think it will make a big difference, my buddy put together some cases and forgot to put that back and it seemed to be fine. hope that helps

the adapter should work fine it actually has an area cut out so you can run a forward shifting case. Ill be allright with the retainer out too, it looks like it was there because on a w56 tranny there is nothing there to hold the lower bearing in place.
