shortbed dualcase

anyone have any problems with pinion when you have shortbed wheelbase and dualcases?  also going flatbelly...
just thinking about potential problems i may run into.

before my wreck, i never had a problem  with it,  since??  well i havent driven it  but  like 2mph

not, it will be fine.  you might need to get a cv for the rear driveline though.

i could put a pinion shim in the rear to right? just to give it a little more help  :dunno:

if you run a CV in the rear shaft then yes.  if you run regular ujoint ends, you want the flanges to be parallel (||) if you run a CV you want the pinion to point at the tcase output. (|/)

Absolutely, mock it up.  Find out 1st hand if it'll work for your rig.

Other items to consider.. Amount of lift.  Tranny you'll use.

Wseries, duals, shortbed, CV rear, no-cv front, ~3"lift, axle wedges in both axles, did very well on the road.  Didn't last very long though, rocks love drivelines.   :D

HAD, .12 wall..

Works fine in my '85 runner...  :yesnod:  CV rear shaft of course.
'82 pickup, +3, locked, doubled
'82 pickup, IFS long travel, V8
'85 4runner, V8 rock crawler
