How much power will a toy tcase handle

Just wondering how much power you guys have successfully ran through your toyota tcase? IF you got them to break what is the weak point?

I want in on this... I have been told that the toy gear cases are amoungs the strongest t-cases out there...
4runner body on a hilux frame = Hi-Runner.
2,4 dti duals 2,28 x 2,28 to 8" 5.71 with arb´s  and 39,5" trxus
gathering parts for my goal which is
350 Chevy 700r4 auto to 2.28 x 4.70  and 4.88 9,5" cruisers diffs,diamondaxles and cable lockers, 44" richard cepecs

Me too, I have heard of a guy breaking an output shaft on a 700R4 chevy trans before the toy tcase broke. I bought all my stuff a while ago, then I got a little too carried away on the motor and im sooo scared Ill pop it open. Right now I can send it all back if I have to so I was looking for someone to make me feel better so I sleep good tonight!

Bazzi - I am building a 418w (351w with a 4.100 stroke) should make 500ft lbs so I hope the old girl if feeling strong! Trans is NP435 with 6.69:1 granny gear- transfercase is a single toy gear driven unit with 23sp 4.7 total spline gears and I am thinking of buying the billet reduction box housing from A/A- Fancy SAS with e-locker High Pinion and 30sp longs- Spool rear - 4.88 & 37x14.5 TOYOs

Ran this truck with a 289 for years but now I want something BIG. When I bought all the stuff I didnt plan on making the motor so big so I was just wondering if my TCase is going to go BOOM  :yikes:

I saw a toy case split the output shaft.  Runnin the 4 banger and duals with 4.7's...stranded us overnight on helldorado between my truck and his.
Go 1-Ton from the start

in high scool a freind had a blown small block in his 79 4x4, stock 21 spline t case, he would routinely roast the piss out of all 4. the motor made about 450 horse and he was very unfreindly to that drive train-fast foreward 10 years-still has the same t case in it-no rebuilds at all

i broke an output shaft behind a 150hp 22re/w56/21sp/21sp 4.7"s with 37 mtr's.  My buddy runs a 300hp 7mgte supra motor in front of his stock 23 sp duals with 35's, and they are surviving so far.

I've seen them hold up around 450 torq stock
