John Steinbeck issued a warning that all should remember:"Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an a$$ kickin'.
In general that's a good sentiment. But, if you believe it...why don't you carry?
I do believe in the right to carry, and considered it many years ago. Truth is, I live in a fairly safe, relatively crime-free area and never felt threatened enough to do so. If the situation were to change, I would take the class and get the permit. Until then, I have enough firepower at home should an emergency arise! And I sympathize with the knees, mine are not good either and slowly getting worse... too many years, too many hills.
He lives in an area where you really could still sleep with your doors open. It's not a town where people worry about their young children cavorting around town by themselves. I, on the other hand, live in a place where the state loves to drop parolees and carrying a sidearm isn't a bad idea. Being as small as I am, it'd be hard to properly conceal a pistol.
That's one of the good things about AZ...you don't have to conceal. You can get a CWP or just carry it out in the open, of course people tend to not get near you in line at the grocery store.
And that is a bad thing? There are some people here in Reno that you wouldn't to have near you in line at the grocery store, or anywhere else for that matter. Why is it that those people are always the ones that insist on standing RIGHT next to you?
