Anyone open to helping me with this? I don't have a few of the main tools and I don't have anouph space at my place. :help:

I'm in Stockton, but am willing to drive a fair distance.

mudmaster

I'd help, but you're too far. Good luck, I'm sure someone will help out.

I like to think ppl here are willing to help and they are, online, but when it comes to physical contact, I have been :pokinit: out of luck, with the exception of Jimbo. I know a lot of you do meet up and help one another but what about outsiders like myself? I understand there is a feeling of caution when inviting a stranger to your house but I feel I am hardly a stranger. Jimbo can attest that I'm not a pig, a burglar or whatever... I just need help. I don't have the tools required for this job.

I am lenient on day and time. I can try and repay your time. Whatever, I just need help. Please.

Thank you Mudmaster, Angler and Jon82toy. I am willing to drive but 3hrs is a little far. Thank you very much for the offer. People in the vicinity of Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, Tracy, Pleasanton, Fremont, Hayward, San Mateo and SF are my best options. Thank you.

Do you have the knuckle rebuild kits?

Toymin8r

Dude.  Not to be critical but at 4 bucks a gallon for gas you could probably buy the tools you need instead of driving all over creation to get help.  There are write ups on how to do it on Marlin if you don't know.  As for space you don't really need any more space than what you would need to change a flat tire.   All you really need besides basic hand tools is a 54mm socket and a torque wrench, even the torque wrench is optional.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Mini, yes, I have a kit.
Toymin8r, I would like to say I do agree with you and I would rather put the gas $$ towards the tools but I don't need tools right now and this being my first ever dis-assembly of the knuckles, I would really like to see and ask questions to someone who has done this before. I have read the write ups and I feel confidant in my ability to accomplish the task, but if I'm already headed your way why not stop off and make a new friend.
