my wife brought her car home today making a really harsh noise  :headscratch: i jacked it up and noticed the harmonic balencer/ underdrive pully was badly rubing on the engine itself anyone know what that means is the crank messed up or is there a bearing/........ in the pully itself it is on a 2002 haundi elantra :beerchug: any help greatly appriated i mean its are only car!!! :hammerhead:

wow! thats not good... was the vehicle ever in any accidents? ive seen some engine parts get severly damaged form accidents

they can brake from time to time. I've had to change a few over the years.
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

I've seen where the outer portion of the harmonic balancer seperates from the rubber ring and starts walking in towards the engine. Hope that's all it is.  :crossed:  Atleast, if that's what it is they aren't typically too hard to change.  :beerchug:
