Fuel Line Help!
« on: Mar 22, 2008, 08:22:03 PM »
Ok so i was doing a motor swap last week on my 88 yota and befor pulling the old motor my buddy cut the fuel hose cause he couldnt get it off. Now the new motor is in and i dont know how to replace the fuel hose. Would it be easyer to just replace the who fuel line hard line and all? or just the fuel hose? Tell me what you think and will you explain how to do it?

The Hose not the Hard line. It was the 5/8s Fuel hose that connects to the fuel filter next to the started

Thanks, Due to the pressure from the pump and the need for the 'hose' to flex from hard line on frame to filter I don't recommend making a repair using a hard line. If you can't find a factory replacment post a request with 'DTB' looking for a hose.

as a temp fix, slide a piece of steel line inside, maybe 3" long, and get some fuel injection hose clamps(or constant-torque clamps) and put 2 or 3 on either side.  It's only about 50PSI.  PM DTB about a new hose.
