Hey guys just wanted to get an feel out there if anyone was interested in my Tacoma.  I am trying to decide on whether or not to sell it and build a new project.  I know I just barely got it finished but I want to build something with 4 seats.

For those who don't know or forgot the specs.

-SAS'd with marlin 4" springs
-Bilstein 14" front shocks and KYB nitro rear shocks
-85 Front built axle with v6 ARB 5.29's, 30 Spline Longfields, ALL new bearings (less than 500 miles on a completely rebuilt front end), knuckle gussets and u-bolt flip kit
-Marlin high steer
-Rear stock Tacoma axle with 5.29's
-Inchworm gear tranny to gear drive adapter
-Marlin MC07 t-case adapter
-23 spline 4.7 gears (supposedly cromo)
-Longfield Cromo output
-tripple drilled f/r output flanges on case
-Tucked TG t-case mount for 1st and 2nd gen trucks
-12" TG long slip front d-shaft
-Marlin speedo sensor
-TG winch mount
-Longfield Cromo hub gears in box

no way.  Not on a 99.  Maybe if it was a 2nd gen but I wouldn't want to do that to do that to my tacoma.  I also want an open top rig.  The 4Runner is ok but its not as fun as a completely open rig.

I'll trade you straight across for my truck.  Heck, I'll even chop the top off for you before I bring it up!! :gap:

Seriously though, I'd say 12-14K, assuming that a '99 taco on great shape is prolly worth about 8k?  :dunno:  I haven't looked on KBB or anything though.

I know I don't have to tell you that you'll never get what you paid for it out of it :smack:

its no harder IMO than any of the older gen trucks.  The only thing that is "more difficult" is converting the steering from a rack and pinion to a IFS style steering which includes the steering shaft.

Update on the sale:

I was thinking of selling it but for now I'm keeping it.  I will sell it someday but for now I'm going to just have fun and drive it.  I will hold off on doing a FJ40 or Jeep for now.
