I am not sure I understand what you are asking. What do you mean by composite headlights and grille? I googled it, but too many different results popped up for me to get a clear cut answer.

the grille and headlights are different on a 4 runner... composite, he menas the not glass rectangle ones....

i am assuming he means second generation 4 runner composite lights

if it is his newer kit, it is made of polycarbonate

this is not what dan is referring to i dont think

composite headlights mean that they are made of a plastic (probably polycarbonate material) but that they are not the standard sealed beam that toyotas have, they are formed to be a certain shape and are not universal like the stanard rectangle lights

Why I am asking is mine are permanent, I just have to undo the back and replace the bulb. I thought that was composite. But if that is not what he is looking for, I guess I am of no help.

not sure if you are understanding.... but can you see the 4runner uses different headlights? some 4runners had the rectangle lights, some had what people call composite. meaning they are a full unit, not a bezel to fill the space. it has nothing to do with what they are made of other than the fact that yes, it is a composite material, but more the fact that they are molded, and not the standard sealed beam rectangular lights

id like to know this as well.... is the bucket the same?
all i know is the front end are narrower on a 3rd gen truck then a 2nd gen truck.... my spare grill is too long to fit on my buddies 94. the center section is too long.

so there might be some modification to fit them?
not sure....
id like to go to composite if i could.... but then you limit what you can do to the lights... because those 2nd gen 4Runner Composites... dont have many options..... thats pushing me away.
so i may just stick to the 95-97 Tacoma grille and H4 conv. lights
