Anyone seen a 4 runner kit?

i was at the local pick and pull and came across a 4 runner i thought. but something was different. it was actually a 87 st cab pickup with a perm. cap the cap went over stock rood all the way to the windshield. the stock roof and can back was cut out. bed was all carpeted like a kit. also there was 2 pannels that were glued to the cab and bed to make it look like 1 piece. i wish i would have been able to take a pic. i was just wondering how common these were.

An 87?  Wierd, I've seen an 84 griffin, released before toyota had the 4runners out supposedly.

No, that's not what I meant.  I *think* 4runners were a half year deal, and griffin had already planned on releasing them anyway.

sounds like a second gen trekker, that would be kinda cool.
1986 Toyota 4Runner 22re 5spd transmission and dual transfer cases (4.7's in the rear). E-lockers front and rear.

2005 GMC Sierra diesel, compound turbo setup to pull.

it was some sort of kit for sure. it was a 86 with ifs. looked cool id go take pics but is over a hour away. maybe if i go this weekend.
