Has anyone had a set of injectors flow matched and did you notice an improvement?

I had mine done by www.cruzinperformance.com and there is a noticeable improvement in the driveability and smoothness. Price was reasonable too.

I used RC engineering in Torrance CA (http://www.rceng.com/) they are very well known and highly respected in the auto biz.  Nice people too.

I did mine because they were leaking badly with 140k on the clock.  I was also trying to be thorough since I was rebuilding the whole motor.

I'll tell you that testing showed flow rates were all over the place and 2 needed to be replaced since they were leaking from the injector body, which the shop told me free of charge.  After I found 2 good used replacements had them all matched up and it runs smooth.  But its also a fresh motor.

When we did my dad 3.0 injectors with 300k on them they were in really good shape.  Pattern was a little off but they flowed well enough for a low power engine.  Noticed no improvement on that one.

When you ask places about doing your injectors ask if they do it themselves or send them out.  Many places just send them out.  So bypass the middle man.  Might save you some $$$

make sure you pick up some new injector seals....

dry rotted ones can be a serious fire hazard

When I put the motor in my truck I had used injectors sent off to  http://www.witchhunter.com/ and they were off by 12% before the cleaning, and after they are off by less than 1% now.  And I also had the cold start injector cleaned, and they come with all new o-rings, gaskets, filters and spacers.  And it all cost me around $100 and that included shipping.  Very professional and I'd recommend them.

You can look in my build (link in my signature below) I have the papers on the flow testing pictured in it.

Good point on the cold start injector.  That one should be done too, if you are going to do them.
