I drive a 99 F250 supercab Powerstroke. I have an 8 foot Century cab high cap on the back. I tow a 16 foot Den-mar trailer. If I travel alone I sleep in the back, if I am with the family I still throw up a tent. Eventually I would like to put an incab camper in the back

2001 Chevy 1500. With sway bars on the trailer the back only squats about 1.5 inches. Pulls great in the flats, slowed to 45 in the hills up to the 'Con and still got 12 mpgs on the trip. Gets 22 mpgs on trips w/o a trailer so it's great as my DD. I drove for a couple of years and always gave "trailer queens" crap. I drove to Barrett lake once (10 mins. from Rubicon) and had no problems with it, then I became a queen and can't figure how I did it. The nice comfy seats on a nice smooth ride home with the air and A/c cranking is the way to go after a few days on the trail.

1992 Ford F-250 IDI Diesel.  Added an ATS turbo kit, 4" MBRP exhaust, and some gauges.  Smokes like a train, but pulls my stuff without too much trouble.

When I'm wheelin with just one or two people in my rig, I drive it to where I'm going. When I have the whole family(There's 5 of us) and doing day trips out of our camp, I flat tow my rig with a 2002 F250 CC Stuper Duty 4x4. It has the a V10 with the six speed manual and 4:30 gears. Ouch on the fuel. I just ordered a Dodge 4X4 Crew Cab with a Hemi cause the Ford is going
Why the Dodge? More ponies, better gas mileage and the wife wants a new DD.
She said NO WAY to the Dodge Magnum :slap:
Oh Yah, I am limited on mechanical abilities, so if i break :nerv:
Just picked up my new Dodge, uh I mean the wifes on July 14th. Sure is small compared to the Ford. :smack: but it has more power. I'll  miss the six speed when I'm towing.
On another note, Dodge will coming out with the all new Power Wagon for 2005. It'll have a solid front axle and some other goodies as well.

My dad's 99 F-250 crew cab.  It gets 15mpg without the trailer.  I don't have a trailer yet, we just barrow friends trailers.  It pulls it like the trailer isn't even there.  went 70-75mph all the way from Auburn up 80 to Fordyce.

My primary tow vehicle is a class B motorhome, it is just a regular Dodge van with everything. It is a high top I am 6-2 and can stand up straight, only sleeps 3 and one must be a kid. I also have a tent that is huge 20x10 that I put up next to the van sometimes for extra room. Almost everything I own can tow the other vehicle if needed though, my van can tow my Willys, Yota and Ranger, my Yota can tow my Willys and the Ranger and my Willys can tow my Yota and the Ranger and my Ranger can tow the Willys and the Yota. Now my Willys could tow the van but that would be just to scary to even think about.

The nice thing about a class B is that HOA's can't biatch about it since it is just a van, if you have an HOA. Plus you can park it anywhere since it small. Only draw back is no room for nothing.

This towing info reminds me of the time my old MH broke down on the way to Shaver Lake, it vapor-locked on the way up just as the road narrows down to 1-lane each way with no real shoulder, I ended up unloading my 4Runner and towing it up to the gas station on the left. The Sheriff laughed at me when I told him what I was going to do since my MH was a 30' Travco (real heavy).
