Reincarnated
« on: Feb 18, 2008, 09:26:16 PM »
Last year when I moved to Arizona I sold my tow rig/motorhome. When I moved back to CA and got seriously back into wheeling I decided that even though the Durango would do the job of towing my truck I found that camping was a little lacking since my wife took over driving the Durango on a daily basis. She can't live out of a tent anymore since she broke her neck 12 years ago and since she needs the Durango things just didn't work out. Well a month ago the person I sold my old motorhome let me know that they no longer wanted it and was wondering if I did. WELL DUH!!!

Here's a quick rundown of what I can remember off the top of my head, 1985 Rockwood 3 axle 35' Class-A motorhome, Chevy 454, Turbo 400 Trans, dual roof A/C's, airhorn, outside lighting all over the place, 6500 watt Onan generator, built in DVD player, CD player, refrigerator/freezer, separate ice maker, built in blender (strawberry margaritas), shower with tub, crapper, queen-size bed, rear vanity, separate washroom, couch, 2 lounge chairs entertainment center, water filtration system, range, microwave, mood lighting, 2 separate eating areas, sleeps 6 in three separate areas, central heating, vacuum cleaning system, 70 gal. fresh water, 50 gal. grey water, 50 gal. black water, leveling system and lots more I can't think of right now.

You know what is even sweeter about this deal, it was FREE!!! Sold it for $5,000. when I moved and they literally just didn't want it. Took it out once and decided that it wasn't for them.

Sure it does, it's just a re-grab, anywho since I'm going out to the King Of The Hammer's comp I spent today sprucing up my goose and planned on filling the LP and gas. It's been raining most of the afternoon but since I was mostly working inside it was not biggie. I got everything done, fired up the old beast, unplugged the AC and started out my gate. All of a sudden I hear the step bottom out on the driveway, learned a lesson today, "Don't rely on those electric steps!" The stupid thing didn't retract and I tore it up, bent the crap out of it. Of course it is now pouring rain and there I am trying to straighten it out so that one it will retract and two if it won't I can't get out the driveway. Man was I pissed and soaked, but I finally got it straight enough to work again. Never did go to the gas station, too dang wet and cold.
