I have my duals up with a Bud built. :yupyup: Now I need driveshafts built. :eek:
Should I use the front driveshafts CV joint at the rear flange and stretch it?
The CV doesn't seem to have the same amount of angle as the u-joint.
Is it, the CV, used mainly to reduce vibration?
Then should I get another front shaft to build the front one,with a CV?
Could I get away with stretching the rear shaft with the stock u-joints for price considerations.
Stretching the front with stock CV at the flange and u-joint at the diff should be fine, right?
I plan to run rears up front, and maybe F-150's rear. What year ford? :dunno:
Anybody have experience in the N. County San Diego area with driveline shops fabbing up something like this? I know about Woods and High Angle, just wondering if there is anything closer.

If your rig is DD, get a CV, make sure to have it High Angled.  They basically clearance the joint so that it will operate at a greater mazimum angle.  CV's do redude vibration and you will definately like having it.  If you do drive in the snow or anything go ahead and havea  cv front shaft.  There is a lot more angle of operation with a Ujoint so if at all possible keep a ujoint up front.

As for driveline shops, i'm from CO don't know there for you, i'd recommend Jess at high angle.
88 Runner, SAS, Duals, Locked, MT/R's, Bilsteins, Toobed.  The usual stuff.

Not a daily driver, but do drive it to the trails. Big Bear, Johnson Valley, Shaver Lake, aand eventually Moab and Rubicon.
I forgot about clearancing the CV for angle.
I may have to order from a shop that is familiar with the application.
This truck came stock with a CV front and split driveshaft rear.
The flanges for a CV is different bolt pattern, I have one for the rear if I need one.
Is u-joint stronger than CV?
Not much snow here in SoCal, but we hit it sometimes.
Doing springs and shocks now.
After that will need to shaft it, and see just what this little truck can do!
