ok up date time. my trans is going out in a hurry. i need to get my engine in. due to the fact that my foot went through my floor board i need to get a new cab because my body mounts are where is rusted. well i was going to ask all of you: i found a mint cab today for $50 should i get it. thanks for your input.

If you dont buy that other cab you must be way stoned!  Its actually pretty damned easy to change it over just takes time.  It would be worth it in the end Ill guarantee it!

i think i will due to the fact he said he will through in the doors also, they are kinda hamered but i just want to make half doors anyways. do you think i should under coat the cab while its off?

I hate undercoating.. If anything sandblast it and put a good coat of something on on there but undercoating leads to flaking and then you get rust from within..

what do you recomend? i dont want to use paint. i was thinking bed liner what you think?

I actually have the spray on paintable undercoating on mine, the stuff I hate is the stuff you get done and it looks like bunch of snot. As long as it is an even coat it's all good..

I would think some kind of bedliner would be good, just make sure you prep the area reall good that is the best prevent measures you can take

ok heres an update. engine is coming along great. but i need to find out if ne one knows if painless builds a kit to put the 5.0 in my truck due to the fact my harness is wrecked.

Id be willing to bet that they do make a harness for that engine.  They seem to make everything else.
